I didnt do an indepth review after hearing the GHA people werent going to be involved in more than 1 show.
Margam Castle, Port Talbot, Wales.
Going from who we saw in the vans both Susan Slaughter & Karl Pfeiffer only did 1 show.
Neither one appeared during the investigation or analysis either.
The "Get Out" EVP was nonexistant, they were hearing something where there were no words. The "Monk" picture was possibly nothing more than lens flare/
The Ostrich Inn, Colnbrook, England
Yet again no Susan or Karl so it sounds like the rumours of them only doing 1 show are true.
So it pretty much renders GHA completely pointless.

Cube Core Walkthrough
written 22nd jul 2010.
You can play this game one of 2 ways.
Way 1) The way is was intended, finding stuff by luck or skill.
Way 2) The cheaty way, using the TAB key.
Either way works ;-)
Main Room, Panels View:-
Not a very useful view right now so we'll come back to it. Instead turn right to
Main Room, Chair View:-
Turn on the light by pulling the chord & move the cushion by clicking it to get code 9431. Right now theres nothing else we can do in this room so go right and click the middle panel to reveal a weird machine, click the middle arrow to get that shrinking feeling. Click to the left or right of the white section to see
Main Room, Cube Shrunk View:-
Click the hole then the ladder to see
4 Red Doors Room:-
Enter the far left room to see
DNA Analyser Room:-
Drag your only object in inventory to the analyser, press the green button & wait for the printout. Take the printout & if the room went green you can leave.
4 Red Doors Room:-
Its not worth going into the 2nd room yet so enter room 3 to see
DNA Combiner Room:-
Click the printout and note the figures for how to make a Mog-rat, 50% Adenocytosine, 30% Thymoadenine & 20% Guanothymine. Once those numbers are noted down click the printout to get rid of it and look at the machine with its A, G & T buttons. We'll we just saw 3 things that started with those letters so lefts see if we can make it here. Click button A 5 times, button G twice and button T 3 times. You'll know it worked if a new lifeform grows. So grab him. If the walls went green you can leave now.
4 Red Doors Room:-
Its STILL not worth going into the 2nd room yet so we'll visit room 4 on the far right to see
Combination Room:-
Well we got a 4 digit combination outside from the chair so lets enter 9431 into the machine and press the green button which gets you a knife. We can't use it in here (or room 2) so go back 4 times until you see the wierd machine again so click the middle arrow to grow. Click either side of the white panel to return to
Main Room, Panels View:-
Go right to
Main Room, Chair View:-
Click to the top right of the chair to go behind it & use the knife there which gets you a depleted power core. Click to the left of the chair, left again then shrink yourself again and make your way back to
4 Red Doors Room:-
Now its time to enter room 2.
Weird pipes room:-
Each pipe must touch another pipe so join them up by clicking them, drag the live mog-rat into the left hold and click the red button on the right side & drag your depleted power core into it then click the red button to close the iris. Click the green button to send the Mog-rat through the tube maze and note the clue about a 4 digit number which when the power core is charged you should see is 5151 (made by the pipes and the display bar), Click the red button and click the blue circle to get your charged power core. If the room turned green you can leave back to the
4 Red Doors Room:-
As the only room unfinished is room 4 its back there to see

Make TNA Work
Written Thursday 22nd July 2010 @ 13:26 BST (British Summer Time)
It was pretty important to mention exactly what day AND time I was writing this so you know I take into account last weeks Impact but I haven't yet seen or read any spoilers for this weeks Impact so I am going with all the knowledge I currently have available to me.
Here's who I am - I've been watching wrestling since I was about 5 on a British show called World Of Sport which is long gone but fondly remembered. That was where many American & Canadian promoters scouted for British talent back in the late 70's. Davy Boy Smith & The Dynamite Kid both got their tv starts there. It was best known for creating British icons Big Daddy & Giant Haystacks (who would go on to have a very brief stint in WCW under the name of Loch Ness).
I've been watching American wrestling since I was 12. I'm 40 now so thats WWF from 1982 onwards but it wasn't every week & every PPV. I have been reviewing TNA since 2004, so I'm pretty well qualified to comment on the show & its workers being extremely familiar with both. With TNA I date back to the original Asylum days in Nashville. As far as WCW goes they didn't transmit much in the UK so I didnt get to see much of their product before they folded, my main WCW experience comes from PPV tapes & dvds.
As far as original ECW goes I didn't watch it at all, I didnt get to see any until they started releasing dvds. Modern WWE I haven't watched much of at all since becoming a smark (smart mark) after watching things like Behind The Mat and Secrets Of Pro Wrestling Finally Revealed, also they just dont have very entertaining matches & their "stars" arent very compelling viewing.
I have watched stuff like WSX in its very brief life and also reviewed every episode of Hulk Hogans Celebrity Championship Wrestling also. So I am fairly well educated on wrestling in general and its secrets like booking & kayfabe.
So we've been given the task of improving TNA? Thats not really all that hard as its pretty darn awful right now. The shows we have to fill are:-
1 Two hour show per week going head to head with Raw on a Monday night. - Impact.
Lets address that first then. Going against RAW has already proved to be the 2nd worst mistake TNA have made in their history (after allowing Eric Bischoff to bid for the contract to remodel the Impact Zone & ruin a perfectly good ring gimmick that was VERY over) so thats not going to be happening. Impact will air on Thursday as it has for quite a good long time now. Only it will air live. No more tv tapings allowing the wrestling forums to spoiler shows. Matches will run so none are ruined by commercials. There will no longer be backstage segments (their boring & fill time where matches could be happening) & promos will only be allowed in ring after or before matches & preferably off camera during commercials so as to not bore the home audience.
1 One hour show per week to schedule and do with as you please. - Xplosion.
I've seen Xplosion. Its a poor mans version of WWE Heat or Velocity and those shows were SHIT. So Xplosion is cancelled as of right now. No-one watches it anyway so its a waste of time, money & manpower that can be used better elsewhere. All things TNA can't currently afford to waste as its pretty much been haemoraging money for quite a while now.
Every championship TNA has to do with as you wish:
Using the "current TNA Roster" from the web site which is woefully inaccurate? It lists Daniels (who was released a while back), ODB (who either walked or was fired depending on which version of the story you read) & Scott Hall (who was fired after his alcohol issues which we warned Dixie Carter about but would the silly cow listen to us who knew better? Would she hell!). It also lists Sean Waltman (I have no idea in his current status after his PPV no-show) & Sharkboy (who hasn't been on tv since his trailer burnt down destroying everything he owned).
World Championship - currently held by Rob Van Dam who quite frankly got it too fast, didnt earn it at all & didnt even come close to paying any kind of TNA dues. So he will be dropping that belt & the title will become vacant where it will contested properly not by Johnny Come Latelys or by people picked by the fans (not that we believe those "fan picks" for a second". There will be a proper Gauntlet Match where everyone who is fit will contest for the title. The draw for spots will be made from a hat so its as random as possible, all talent will be informed prior to the match that kayfabe is out of the window and whoever wins will be the guy who wants it most. And RVD will be put into the X Division where he will have to pay his dues for at least 12 months during which he may contest but not hold the X Division title.
Global Championship - formerly the Legends Title or as I used to call it the "Belt I Bought", held by Rob Terry - the man with no talent. Its never meant anything, its never been contested well & its getting retired. It'll be Kevin Nash vs Jeff Jarrett with the stipulation being the winner of the belt retires both themself AND the title from wrestling forever. If they want to stay in TNA they can train or manage. But not wrestle, their both WAY too old & busted up to be in the ring any more. The current incumbant will be made to form a tagteam with Matt Morgan so the 2 biggest & least talented people in TNA can job like they should be doing.
X-Division Championship - currently around the waist of one Douglas Williams where quite frankly its going to hell in a handcart that he's pushing as fast as he can under Hogans orders IMHO. We need an Ultimate X match with everyone from the X Division roster who is currently fit. Everyone starts in the ring under the same instructions as the WC belt, whoever wins will be the guy who wants it the most. Once again kayfabe & booking are out of the window. Williams (who currently gets less heat than the North Pole) will be fired out of a cannon into the sun where he actually MIGHT gain some heat, preferably live on Impact.
World Tag-Team Championship - currently being held by those nice chaps The Motor City Machine Guns who were WAY overdue a title reign. The main issue is TNA only have Beer Money, Team 3D, Generation Me, MCMG and Ink Inc. Five (count them!) tag teams which doesnt really constitute a Tag Team Division in my opinion, I've seen bigger queues for toilets. Does this mean toilets are more popular than Tag Team wrestling in TNA? I guess it does. I dont mind The Guns keeping the title for a bit, they are actually entertaining. Just make at least 5 more tag teams.
Knockouts Championship - which is currently Angelina Love. Again. Do you know how many other people could possibly contest that title as of right now? 8. Thats right TNA have the grand (actually rather crappy) total of 9 female wrestlers available. Yet again my comment about toilet queues seems to apply here. Time to hire at least another 10 female wrestlers. I dont care where from, as long as they can bump & sell.
Knockouts Tag-Championship - Held by The Beautiful People (yet again) but theres currently no other team for them work against seeing as the only other Knockout Tag Team have been shown feuding on-screen so I can only assume its to allow both Taylor Wilde & Sarita to form brand new teams. Their viable partners (if TBP remain together after the mystery woman is revealed) are Hamada, Rosie Lottalove & Daffney as I can't really see Love getting involved with a tag partner right now. I could see Wilde & Hamada making a good team, with Sarita having instigated the feud on a heel turn she could tag with Daffney if she was correctly repackaged with a new gimmick & look.
Heres some interesting facts & figures.
TNA have 42 available men to wrestle.
I'm not counting Bischoff & Flair (Bisch could & Flair has but really SHOULD stop before he dies in the ring) or Hogan (who is no longer fit to after his back operation) in that. Or Taz. Or West & Tenay. Or Willy Urbina & Hector Guerrero.
33 of those men are viable Heavyweight workers.
19 of those men are viable X Division workers.
Theoretically all of them COULD potentially be in a tag team, 10 of them currently are.
There are 9 women who work as wrestlers. Christy Hemme is now retired to announce & Chelsea doesn't wrestle but I hear IS training. SoCal Val can & HAS wrestled in the Indy Feds but as ring girl & occasional announcer I think she has put her in-ring days long behind her. She's been in TNA a long time, IF she was going to wrestle she would have already.

Mirror on depression.
I've been watching this thing about Stephen Fry and depression. Its rather scary because so much of it sounds too familiar. I think I'll pass on any kind of diagnosis thanks. If I am slightly mad or depressed its not going to help much to know for definate.
Fuck that for a game of soldiers, I'll just plod on. I dont think I've ever really been normal, I've always known I was a bit weird even as a child. After all its not really normal to write stories where you as the main character dont overcome whatever obstacle is thrown at you & succeed but instead die horribly in many varying ways. Thats not remotely normal, or healthy I guess. And I can recognise that fact so I know I dont need help.
I also guess my issues with crowds & social events & socialising in general are related to that, its easy to be out & relaxed under the influence of drink but painfully tough when stone cold sober and free to roam my own mind which can be a scary place to be allowed to roam unhindered inside. I try to be creative but I think I burnt myself out 15 years ago, writing stuff every day or even several things a day took it out of me. Now I struggle to even finish a review.
I'm not even sure why I wrote this, if it helps someone else I guess it was useful. It wasn't as theraputic for me as I thought it'd be. I still feel the same.

Dharma Doll walkthru
previously the game was completable without finding the 1st symbol but the author fixed that so here is the full walkthru using all objects.
View of front door, main room:-
click the cover on the right chair, get the power lead under it.
ignore that red box on the left chair that needs 3 symbols to open it, we'll focus on it later.
click the middle shelf of the cupboard in the far left corner for a box cutter.
ignore the code box above it & the object below it does nothing.
are you enjoying the rather groovy piano music? cool isnt it?
its not important, i was just asking ;-)
in the background click the box on the door then get the newspaper, clicking the bit of paper sticking out of it.
THATS a clue, easy enough if you know your 3 times table. or you could just google them. like i did ;-)
2 o'clock = 60. so 1 o'clock =30. 6 o'clock+8 o'clock+11 o'clock, or 180+240+330=750 (if you cant work it out yourself use google).
enter 750 then click the button on the box to get the black ink.
the 2 images on the wall are clues we use later so ignore them for now. click the arrow at the bottom to see:-
View of tv, main room
click the object on the table, its a cookie in a bag. also get the blue cup, we'll use both later.
drag the power lead to the tv for the worlds smallest clue, you might want to take a screengrab & zoom into it.
its telling you to use the box cutter on the top right corner of one of the chairs behind you.
so turn around & use it on the top right corner of the right chair to get a paint brush then turn back around.
view the paint & use the brush on it to get an inky brush, use that on the red statue to paint in his eyes (click it twice).
which gives you a clue behind him, nice one weird red statue dude!
click the panel to zoom in, thats a clue to open the door in that view, count how many points each shape has.
564 is the answer, ok?
enter 564 on the panel by the door, that door is now open but we're not going in there yet. why not?
because we need to open the safe by the door & get our power lead back, we need it again elsewhere thats why.
click the power lead to get it back then click the shelf above the tv.
looks like a clue? thats because it is & a darn sneaky one too!
looks like the safe combo is 5 left, 7 right, 6 left? WRONG!
imagine you are standing where they are, its actually 5 right, 7 left, 6 right.
you'll know it worked because you'll hear a click, you safe cracking ace!
click the safe handle & grab whats inside, its not useful right now - I'll tell you what it is later.
open the door and we're into a new room:-
dressing room
use the box cutter on the box (duh, obviously genius!) & get the swirly thing. i have no clue what it is.
click the orange then blue dresses on the hanger (i guess the character we're playing is either a girl or a closet transvestite then?) & note the clue.
F=2, SxOxD. also note the calendar on the wall, its a month with not many days in.
february maybe, as its the 2nd month? F=2!
so thats september times october times december or 9x10x12=1080 (thanks google calculator!)
zoom into the left cupboard, enter 1080 then zoom out & open it to get matches.
please be careful with them, matches are not toys!
get the bottle of water then open the right cupboard to get the other bit of the object from the safe - its a key! but its broken so dont celebrate yet!
use the water on the jug on the table then use the lead on the outlet. its a kettle!
leave the room & return then use the blue cup on the kettle to get a mug full of hot water which makes a cloud symbol appear. remember that, ok? we can return to:-
View of tv, main room
view swirly thing & use matches on it, oh noes! its on fire!
dont panic, use the smoking swirly thing on the pig statue to get a sun symbol.
we have 3 symbols & can open the box behind us. turn around to:-
View of front door, main room
zoom into the box on the left chair & note the painting next to it.
swirly thing, cup, round thing.
the swirly thing code came from the pig, it was a sun.
the cup gave us the cloud symbol.
the round thing is the cookie in your inventory,
zoom in & click it, theres a juggling snowman on the back of it so use that as the final symbol.
the whole code is sun, cloud, snowman.
click the box to get instant glue, sounds useful? it is!
zoom into the 2 halves of the key then use the glue on them for a whole key, much more useful!
use the key on the door. did i just hear a click? your darn tooting i did.
click the handle and you are outta there baby, well done.
thanks to everyone who helped make this walkthru possible - celli, stefano, megajar & sneaksnake without whom i would be nought but a humble stuck person ;-)
