My TNA Monthly Catch-up, Dec 06 - Jan 07

It's that time of the month again - Time for my monthly TNA catch-up on Impacts and the PPV. The views inside are my own and I call it the way I watch it.

Impacts:- 14th Dec 06 - Robert Roode calls out Eric Young but is ousted by Kurt Angle, b**ching about a rematch with Samoa Joe, A prerecorded tape of Joe says no rematch. Don West earns himself an Ankle Lock, very funny stuff.

Ron "The Truth" Killings vs Abyss in a non-title match. Killings works a good match against Abyss with Sting watching from the rafters, Killings dominated the whole match until James Mitchell suckered him into chasing him and Abyss got the win with the Black Hole Slam.

Christian bleats about wanting a rematch.

PCS Championship event #2, the push-up contest with Nash ragging on Sonjay Dutt yet again with steriod jibes.

Petey Williams vs Chris Daniels in a very even match, Williams gets the win in the non-title event after Chris Sabin stole the title belt & was interupted by Jerry Lynn getting it back only to get done over by Daniels who never saw Sabin.

VKM video insert.

AMW vs LAX Tag title match. Konnan is locked in a cage to stop him interferring, and if AMW lose they have to disband as a tag team. Storm hits Harris in the face with a beer bottle, Homicide takes the easy win and AWV are officially disbanded.

A bit of dull b**ls**t involving Abyss ended the show.

21st Dec 06 - The team of Seratonin (Maverick Matt, Johhny Devine) newly created by Raven backing Kazarian vs Sting. Sting gets an easy win in a short match off The Scorpion Death Drop.

Team 3D vs The Naturals in a tag team Tables match. Team 3d gets the win with a power bomb thru a table.

Truth comes out to do an Xmas rap while Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal and Lance Hoyt pass out gifts to the fans.

PCS event #3, The Pogo contest? Nash takes the piss in this. Santa (AKA Brother Runt) thows more gifts to the fans but is interupted by LAX.

VKM video insert from RAW on Knoxville.

Sting & Abyss exchange words in the ring after a vid from Cage.

4 man Tag match - AJ Styles & Samoa Joe vs Rhyno & Kurt Angle. Both teams have a good match and generally kick the shit out of each other, AJ gets the win for his team off Rhyno with an inside cradle and handfull of Rhyno's ring outfit.

28th Dec 06 - Chris Sabin & James Storm vs Petey Williams & Chris Daniels. Storm gets the win from a chair unseen by the ref.

Samoa Joe has a memory lapse during an interview and forgets his 5 losses in his so-called "18 month unbeaten streak".

Runt goes crazy with Team 3D & LAX.

PCS Event #4 - The Limbo Contest (Does anyone give a FLYING F**K about this S**TE any more?), utter b**ls**t that I won't discuss. Get this type of C**P off the air, TNA.

VKM Knoxville video insert.

Robert Roode vs Lance Hoyt (Ron Killings comes to ring with him). Roode gets the win after Miss Brooks finally comes down to the ring and distracts Hoyt.

Night stick on a pole match (Sounds suspiciously like a Russo idea, eh?) Christian Cage (with Tomko) vs Sting vs Abyss (with James Mitchell). Sting wins after Tomko drops the nightstick.

Cornette annouces a 3-way elimination match at Final Resolution.

Samoa Joe wins Mr TNA 2006, Joe gives Angle the rematch after he hurts some faceless tart that Joe brought with him to the show.

4th Jan 07 - Robert Roode vs Rhyno. Rhyno gets the win after Miss Brooks f**ks up the interuption.

VKM bore us on the mic.

PCS Event #5, Musical chairs. Kevin Nash, shut the F**K up, please?

No DQ Lucha/Mexican street fight Runt vs Homicide from LAX. Homicide wins after Hernandez uses The Border Toss onto a ladder as Konnan distracted the ref.

Dull vid insert from Abyss about prison. BORING!

Christian Cage (with Tomko) vs Kurt Angle. Samoa Joe jumps Angle on his way to the ring, Cornette turns them loose and lets them fight into the crowd & outside. This is a PPV quality no holds barred scrap and I loved it all! Don Harris in the back guiding them into the table (WWE Creative, TNA were doing Creative on the fly! Learn from this stuff!). Cage & Tomko work over Angle with Sting breaking things up.

11th Jan 07 - Seratonin walk out to back Maverick Matt vs Kurt Angle. Angle wins with the ankle lock.

6 Man tag match James Storm (with Gail Kim), Chris Sabin & AJ Styles vs Petey Williams, Chris Daniels & Rhyno. AJ made the win for his team after pulling the "knee injury cheat" yet again.

PCS Final Event - Texas Hold 'Em. (F**k you & your boring b**ls**t Kevin Nash).

VKM vid insert from San Antonio.

Tomko (with Cage) vs Abyss in a non-title event. Cage is put in a cage at ringside by Angle. Abyss wins on a DQ for outside interference from Cage after Joe jumps Angle & Cage unlocks himself. Sting makes the save on Abyss who uses the Shock Treatment & Abyss goes back to Mitchell.

Final Resolution 07 PPV - Last Man Standing Match - AJ Styles vs Rhyno. Rhyno wins 2 falls to 1 after AJ refuses to get up after fall #2. Rhyno comes back to gore AJ thru a table at the top of the entrance ramp.

X Division title 3 way match - Chris Sabin vs Jerry Lynn vs Chris Daniels - considering how long Jerry Lynn has been out of the ring, he's still got the moves & ability. Sabin gets the win off Jerry Lynn after very long & pretty good match.

Paparazzi Championship Series Final - that lanky streak of p**s Nash comes out to call the match with West & Tenay. Austin Starr vs Alex Shelley. The judges for the match are masked wrestler Samolian Joe, Big Fat Oily Guy & wrestling legend Mr Bob Backlund! I think Samolian Joe was Hercules Hernandez? Shelley won in extra time after no falls and the judges called a tie.

James Storm (with Gail Kim) vs Petey Williams - not really 2 people I'd have matched together for a ppv quality match. Williams worked good match, Storm was awful & boring. Storm cheats the win using the ropes in a roll-up. Miss Jackie saves Storm from a bottling from Gail Kim.

VKM declare victory over WWE. Christie Hemme demands to wrestle. Womens division soon?

Tag Team Title - LAX vs Team 3D, LAX are without the injured (IRL having a kidney op) Konnan. Team 3d were way in front and about to take the win when Runt cost them the win by getting them DQ'ed (outside interference, I assume?).

30 Minute Ironman Match - Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe. Joe wins submission 1 from the rear naked choke hold with 17:05 left on the clock. Angle wins his 1st submission from the ankle lock with 13:58 left. Angle wins his 2nd submission with the ankle lock with 11:05 left. Joe wins a fall from the muscle buster with 7:40 left. Angle wins a fall from rolling over an inside cradle with 5:17 left. Angle wins 3-2 but Joe almost took him to a dead heat by having the ankle lock on Kurt who held on until time ran out.

NWA Heavyweight Title - 3 Way Elimination Match, Sting vs Christian Cage (with Tomko) vs Abyss. To make this fair Tomko was locked in a cage at ringside. Which you knew he was going to get out of. Sting eliminated Abyss, James Mitchell freed Tomko and Cage won after Abyss hit Sting with the chain that held the cage closed after Tomko tried and failed 3 times to hurt Sting enough for Cage to pin him. Pretty rubbish for a title and main event to be honest.

My TNA Monthly Catch-up, Nov - Dec 06

Welcome to this months TNA Catch-up as reported by the totally unimpartial me, I call it as I see it. Last months catch-up was killed/lost by that annoying little T**T Outlook Express, as it decided to crash after I'd written up all the Impacts and 2/3's of the ppv. It didn't ask to save the posting, it just crashed and lost over 1hrs worth of writing. Hence no catch-up last month. This months catch-up is being done on wordpad to avoid that problem.

Impact 23rd Nov 06 - Show opens with Abyss & James Mitchell boring us on the mic. Run in from Christian Cage dressed as Sting, he bores us on the mic. The real Sting calls out Cage.

AJ Styles & Chris Daniels vs The Naturals. Aj & Daniels get the win in "their last match together as a tagteam".

VKM vid insert.

Cornette on the mic, LAX break up a flag raising. Seriously CHEAP heat! Angle cleans house. Enter Samoa Joe, who now believes the hype about his so called "undefeated" streak (during which he was beaten 5 times, including losing a title).

More vid insert from the VKM.

Robert Roode bad mouths Eric Young (dressed as turkey for thanksgiving I assume, why though - he's Canadian, not American) and demands a rematch. Young gets the win and this is The Gobbledy Gooker all over again.

Nash vid insert, BORING!

Cage V Sting (#1 contender match, though why bother? Sting was already anyway) - an even match until Tyson Tomko (formerly of WWE) nails Sting while the ref is "out cold", no winner.

Impact 30th Nov 06 - New blonde girl Latisha interviews LAX.

Christian Cage (with Tomko) comes to the ring & bores us on the mic.

Cornette calls a 3 way dance for the PPV title match.

VKM vid insert.

3 way #1 contender match for the X-Division, Chris Sabin vs Sonjay Dutt Vs Jay Lethal. Sabin gets the win as he's flavour of the month. VKM vid insert.

Nash Vid insert, boring!

Tag team match, Truth & Lance Hoyt vs Alex Shelley & Austin Starr (AKA Austin Aries) - return match from the last ppv, Shelley gets the win by grabbing the trousers, but is then DQ'd and the win is reversed thanks to Aries.

More VKM vid insert rubbish from the WWE raid.

Sting talks to Abyss, Cage & Tomko jump Abyss.

Tag Title match - LAX vs Kurt Angle & Petey Williams, Williams had already been jumped by LAX backstage before the match. Samoa Joe comes out to watch Angle's back as promised last week. Joe & Angle make an excellent tagteam! Match is ruled a no contest by Cornette, LAX keep the belts. (Who is LAX's Attorney? He looks so familar, he's obviously a wrestler - he's huge!).

Impact 7th Dec 06 - Rhyno comes out and bores us on the mic, calling out AJ Styles.

Petey Willams vs Homocide. Williams gets the win in a fair fight then LAX jump him just like last week. AMW run in to make the save.

VKM news insert (can someone who watches WWE explain the whole "no pants" thing?).

Nash vid insert, really dull!

Eric Young Vs Senshi. Senshi wins thanks to assistance from Miss Brooks.

VKM news vid insert again.

Cornette books a flag match challenge AMW vs LAX for Turning Point PPV.

Cage bores us, Abyss jumps him but gets done over by Tomko. Sting saves Abyss and gets beaten down for his trouble by Abyss.

The All Star War - Sting vs Samoa Joe vs Christian Cage vs Rhyno (who gets jumped by AJ Styles) vs Kurt Angle vs Abyss. Rhyno vanished off fighting backstage with Styles before the match even began. This was a PPV quality match on regular tv. Angle gets the win after making a save on Samoa Joe from Cage.

Turning Point PPV 06 - Kevin Nash comes out to provide colour for the 5 way Papparazzi Championship Series X Division match. Senshi vs Jay Lethal vs Alex Shelley vs Sonajay Dutt vs Austin Starr (aka Austin Aries dressed like Macho Man). This was an elimination match for points.

Dutt eliminates Shelley with a Camel Clutch thanks to help from Starr and Senshi, Shelley scores a point and is eliminated. Senshi eliminates Lethal who scores 2 points. Nash needs to know about Slander by the way as he keeps saying Dutt is on steroids. Nash, call your lawyer you fool.
Were the crowd chanting "Suck his d**k" to Dutt about Starr? Sonjay scores 3 points as Starr eliminates him. Senshi eliminates Starr who scores 4 points and Senshi gets the win and 5 points thanks to help from Alex Shelley.

Eric Young vs Miss Brooks in a Bikini Contest (judged by the fans) - Traceys outfit was a swimsuit with cut-out tummy panel, very nice in red trimmed with black. Eric wore a t-shirt with a bikini printed onto it, underneath that was a pair of Spongebob Boxer shorts, underneath that were Spongebob trunks. Miss Brooks outfit wasn't a bikini either, a bikini is 2 pieces, not a slashed 1 piece. This should have been a double dq as neither person wore a proper bikini. Eric got the fan verdict, but was beaten down by Roode.

X Division Title - Chris Sabin vs Chris Daniels, Jerry Lynn as special referee. This was called right down the middle by Lynn, lots of in and out ring action which was very even by both Daniels & Sabin. Daniels took a well deserved win from the BME (Best Moonsault ever). little bit of an aftermath with Lynn slapping Daniels for not showing respect. Weird. Is this setting up a Jerry Lynn comeback match?

Cornette chats to some baseball people who we Brits have no clue about, this was obviously set up as a scrap and it was S**TE!

Aj Styles vs Rhyno - This started backstage as Rhyno was being interviewed and AJ jumped him. Lots of backstage area fighting which came through the bleachers and the crowd onto the ramp and into the ring. Then the bells rings, funny t**t that timekeeper. Aj hurt his knee being backdropped out of the ring over the ropes. Aj says "I heard it pop" and AJ was faking as he ran into the ring and pinned Rhyno (with the wrong ref making the count by the way so it wasn't a legal win however it's called as Hebner counted it but Rudy Charles was the official).

Some garbage backstage thing pastiching Vince (who was playing him?).

Non-title Flag Match - AMW vs LAX. Russo's "Things on a pole" influence is very clear in the booking of this match. LAX get the win after AMW bump heads.

VKM come out dressed as Shaun Micheals and HHH. I assume the 4 guys were The Spirit Squad having never seen them ever. Can someone who watches WWE, explain the fat greasy guy? VKM shoot on Vince big time. VKM call out Dx for $1 million and call Vince "a gutless pice of s**t".

Heavyweight Title - A 3 way dance between Sting, Abyss & Christian Cage (again for some reason the title isn't the main event match, another case of TNA s***ting on the NWA title for the 2nd time in 2 months). Every time Abyss uses thumbtacks or a chokeslam both Mick Foley & The Undertaker must cringe at him stealing their gimmicks. Abyss won after a Black Hole Slam but this was a really scrappy awful match that didn't belong in a tv show, let alone a ppv.

Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe - No titles involved, just a rematch and this was the main event? F**k that s**t, the main title belts are the main event and TNA need to learn that pretty darn sharpish. This was a mainly technical wrestling match, lots of holds, submission moves and mat work. Angle tapped out while the ref was "unconcious", please don't b**ls**t us with that very old idea of a knocked out ref. FFS. Nice kick in the balls from Angle on Joe (he'd never feel it, those guys wear cups anyway). Joe wins with the rear naked choke hold, having made Angle tap out twice in 1 match.

My TNA Monthly Catch-up, Oct - Nov 06 (not complete)

Currently missing, here is some details of the PPV.

TNA Genesis PPV Nov 06

Angle V Joe as the main event? TNA doesn't give a fuck about it's heavyweight title then?
Isn't the title supposed to be THE ultimate accolade that a wrestler can win?
So if TNA set this as their main event they just told the champ to get fucked, basically. Didn't they?

The Sting match was ok. I do get pissed off about TNA's "lose the title on DQ" bullshit rule.
Abyss doesn't deserve to be champ. He isn't a strong enough character.

They are getting a bit silly with these short X-division title reigns too.
Can someone at least hold that title longer than 5 minutes?

The James Gangs VKM rebranding is a right old load of bollocks and thats a fact you can take to the bank.
Bobby Roodes rebranding along with Tracey is him in the vein of Ted DiBiase/Bradshaw and her as Miss Jones/Stacey Keibler.

My TNA Monthly Catch-up, Sept - Oct 06

Impact 28th sept - Jarrett straps Lance Hoyt, Jarrett bores us on the mic & threatens Joe.

Raven Vs Joe in a borefest, West & Tenay forget Joe losing the x-div belt to Senshi (yet again) as they continue to call him "unbeaten" which he isn't.

Team 3d return to tv vs 2 no-name jobbers (Thomas Selly & Vaughan Doring - any relation to dangerous Danny Doring?) to warm them up.

Angle announced as ringside enforcer for BFG PPV.

Impact 5th Oct - Team 3d vs Kazarian & Maverick Matt. (watched by AMW, The James Gang & The Naturals).

Abyss fails to take the belt from Joe as West & Tenay continue to have memory loss about Senshi winning the x-div belt from Joe.

LAX stomp no-name jobbers (Tyler Black & Jeff Luxon) in seconds, Konnan bores us on the mic (as usual).

Eric Young in some weird 5-way match with Norman Smiley, Sharkboy and 2 of Diamonds In The Rough (Elix Skipper & David Young). Sharkboy gets the win and Eric Young is fired?

Christopher Daniels teams up with Ron Killings (who the f**k says he isn't getting good matches?) as AJ is injured to meet Christian Cage & Jeff Jarrett, Truth subs well for AJ. Jarrett steals the win after LAX interfere.

Rhyno goring Cage means Joe keeps the title belt.

Impact 12th oct - Joe gives us an NWA title history lesson.

LAX get beaten down by AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels who give it right back to 'em.

Senshi gets stuck with Williams, Shelley & Devine in yet another Jackass match he doesn't want to be in with Sharkboy joining the idiots Sabin, Dutt and Lethal.

Kevin Nash bores us on the mic (30 yr career? funny f***ker).

Truth tags with Lance Hoyt against David Young & Elix Skipper of Diamonds In The Rough with Truth making the win for his team - getting yet another good match.

Kurt Angle tells us Vince called him s**t and says he ain't seen nothing yet.

Joe vs Cage in a ladder match with West & Tenay pulling the "undefeated" b**ls**t saying no pin & no submit yet again, f**k it's getting old. Sorry to keep repeating myself but he lost his X-div title to Senshi but I have to be the memory of accuracy. A loss is a loss - there are no provisions, so f**k you Don West & Mike Tenay. Good run-ins from Abyss, Runt & Abyss. Rhyno helps Joe to keep the belt again.

Impact 19th oct - Joe is told to give the belt back or leave TNA.

Raven vs Abyss vs Runt in a preview of the monsters ball match for the upcoming PPV. Mark like a crazy ass MOTHER F**KER for Jake The Snake Roberts! The return of the 1st ever DDT! He's only going to be a f**king Ref! F**k YES!!!!!!!

Kurt Angle shows up.

Christian Cage vs Norman Smiley who jobs big time to him.

Sharkboy jobs also. Eric Young goes back to being blonde.

Senshi finally kicks some Jackass butt, Jay Lethal jobs & Sabin gets worked over big time.

Nash bores us about his battle royal. Oh and Kev, They already made Croc Dundee 3 (actually called crocodile dundee in Los angeles) you lanky f**kwit!

BG James marks for Jeff Jarrett the man. LAX & AMW meet The James gang & Aj Styles with Chris Daniels. AJ makes the pin for his team. Gail Kim takes one for AMW.

Joe refuses to turn in the belt as fans chant "Keep the title", cue Kurt Angle in an excellent entry on a lift ;-)

Jarrett finally steals the belt back & Chris Jericho's band Fozzy (named after the Muppet Bear?) get a video promo (tons of vocoder on Chris's vocals btw).

Bound For Glory Pre-show - just a bunch of boring s***ty promo vids of how we got to the BFG matches fronted by pre-taped inserts by Borash and Hemme in an empty Impact Zone. Christy Hemme must be getting used to filming inserts in an empty Impact Zone by now, She's never at tv tapings. The Fozzy vid gets another airing as well. Is Jericho coming to TNA perhaps?

Bound For Glory PPV 22nd Oct 06 - Kev Nash brings a very fake looking trophy that you know is going to get smashed over someone's back.

X-division invitational gauntlet match. Austin Starr (Who?), Sonjay Dutt, Maverick Matt, Jay Lethal, A1 (too heavy to be x div, sorry guys), Zach Gowen (in his 2nd run in TNA), Kazarian (another one who's too heavy to be x div) who eliminated sonjay dutt with the help of maverick matt, Sirelda (the girl who beat up gail kim) gets eliminated by A1 who is eliminated by
Maverick matt & Kazarian, Sharkboy, Alex Shelley, D-Ray 3000 (Who?) eliminates maverick matt with sharkboy, Johnny Devine who eliminates zach gowan, Elix Skipper, Kazarian is eliminated by Austin Starr, Midget wrestler Short Sleeve Sampson, d-ray 3000 was eliminated by Austin Starr and Alex Shelley eliminated sharkboy (both off camera), Norman Smiley, Alex Shelley eliminates short sleeve sampson, Petey Williams, Outside Ring Official Slick Johnson "eliminates" elix skipper & norman smiley (is that even legal?) and is eliminated by Petey Williams who is eliminated by Alex Shelley and Johnny Devine. johnny devine is eliminated by Austin Starr who eliminates Alex Shelley as well. Austin Starr pins jay lethal with a brain buster for the win! Amazingly the trophy isn't used as a weapon.

4-way tag match - The Naturals, The James Gang, AMW (with no gail kim) & Team 3d. Team 3d make the win. Weak Match for a PPV.

Monsters Ball no DQ - Special Ref JAKE THE SNAKE ROBERTS! Abyss, Brother Runt, Raven & Samoa Joe. Everyone teams up on Joe. Jake generally enjoys the show upclose and personal. Joe thru a table off the ramp, Runt onto a platform & Abyss diving on top of him from the scaffolding, Dunno why Jake tried to stop Abyss using thumbtacks (it's a no dq, idiot!). Raven
t**ts Jake, Joe puts Abyss face 1st into the tacks, Jake ddt's Raven as he's hitting Joe with a chair, Joe hits the musclebuster on Raven for the win. Raven gets a faceful of snake as the aftermath of Jake.

Loser Gets Fired From TNA - Larry Zybsco vs Eric Young - Eric Young steals the victory, obviously. Utter s**t for a PPV match.

Jim Cornette comes to talk to us (with a really sore throat). (excellent sign in the crowd - 100% Mcmahon Free). Cue Kurt Angle. Joe tries to have a go, Security splits it up. Twice. Joe begs Cornette "let me fight" and Angle rushes him. Security splits it up again.

X-Division Title Match - Senshi vs Chris Sabin. Sabin wins in a Jackass free match. Can he go back to being serious now?

8-Mile Street Fight - Rhyno vs Christian Cage. Wow, What a s**t match this was. It started in the carpark, worked through the backstage area onto the ramp finally into the ring. They may as well have billed this as a falls count anywhere no dq match. What was the 8 mile link? Was there one? Apart from the street sign? This was a real big push to make Cage a bigger heel. What was the point of the straightjacket? Excellent piledriver thru the table by rhyno on Cage. Cage's pin at the end was total and utter S**T! Could they not make a better finish than this? I assume they stopped on such a c**p finish as Rhyno's head was cut too much or he was hurt.

6 Sides Of Steel Tag Title Match - LAX vs Aj Styles & Christopher Daniels. The rematch from the last PPV. They really should have had this match last or prepared a match on tape whilst the cage was being built. Something short just to fill the space as Tenay & West were c**p at doing that. You do realise how much Konnan does when he's kept out of a match. AJ's frogsplash off the top of the cage was pretty awesome (should have been the match winner right there). LAX win with the gringo killer due to Konnan's outside interference. All the b**ls**t attacking after the match should really be an instant belt loss right there.

Heavyweight Title vs Career - Kurt Angle as Special Ring Enforcer with Sting vs Jeff Jarrett. I can't recall Angle having ever worked with either man here so this was going to be very open. Sting combined his old looks to create a new one. (How did that beardy guy in the front row get away with holding his "Screw Sting" sign?). Sting was being played as ring rusty and Jarrett
was on top at the start for a decent amount of time. Jarrett knocked a cameraman over just after having a dust-up with Angle on the outside. Jarrett managed to nail Angle with a chair (accident, but nicely set-up though). Angle knocking out the ref to take over himself was predictable rather than end by a double count out (how would that have worked then?
Sting gone and Jarrett still champ?). Stings piledriver on Jarrett was on the wrong camera showing how far his head was from canvas. Sting didn't fancy selling Jarrett's figure 2 leglock either. Sting totally punked Jarrett, no-selling the guitar shot which was an excellent "f**k you,
Jarrett" moment. Sting wins the title from the Scorpion Death Lock. Hardly no interference from Angle. West & Tenay gave JJ his props, not too sure about the claim that Jarrett held the NWA belt the most times or the longest. I think Harley Race might have that honour.

I guess this sets up future matches for Jarrett vs Angle and Angle vs Joe. Any chance of Luger and Bagwell getting back in the ring again? Teases of Jericho maybe coming to TNA (unlikely if he's still signed with WWE).

My TNA Monthly Catch-up, Aug - Sept 06

Before I get started a few things. TNA still can't get it timings right and still go to commercial in the middle of matches. Can't they do this during backstage interviews? Plus they have to stop calling samoa joe undefeated because he isn't. a loss is a loss, this pinfall/submission only b**ls**t is exactly that. joe is defeated, get the f**k over it TNA. Anyway, now here's the highlights of the last 6 weeks.

17th aug 06 - daniels & styles get beat down by LAX, Naturals win a title shot, Killings jobs to joe & their still calling him undefeated in 14 months (B**LS**T! wot about the belt lost to senshi?), jarrett dares sting to put his career on the line for a title shot.

24th aug 96 - christian cage comes to the ring and bores us. rhyno sells a c**p chair shot.
zybsco's wigs get worse. sting puts his career on the line, jarrett promises a public execution, LAX meet styles & daniels in a border war title match, konnan cheats LAX to the win.

31st aug 06 - LAX come out & bore us. Sharkboy jobs to eric young, christians c**p heel turn continues, runt Vs abyss in the 10,000 thumbtack match (how was this not held back for a ppv? answer = worst ending EVER!) - raven puts abyss thru 2 tables of thumbtacks, jarretts execution is 3 guys dressed like PIRA (google those initials, ok?) and the public execution of stings career. nice word play jeff. the impact zone show what marks they are. cornette tells jarrett he's taking a polygraph.

7th sep 06 - LAX try a warm-up match against jobber nobodies (the mack brothers). the james gang run with sharkboy & norman smiley against amw, maverick matt & kazarian. gail kim cheats them to a win. jarretts polygraph (was he SMOKING a cigarette on Tv?). heel cage v killings in a very even match. rhyno bores us on the mike. jarret fails the polygraph, cornette
makes a fans revenge lumberjack match against samoa joe at the no surrender ppv.

14th sep 06- styles & daniels go against maverick matt & kazarian. raven v abyss in a hangman match (another ppv style match with a poor finish). cornette reinstates earl hebner as a ref, cornette hikes up samoa joes unbeaten run to 18 months (it was 14 months mere weeks ago, and it's still B**LS**T - senshi took the x division belt from him). I'm assuming the female "fan" jarrett knocked down was some jobber.

21st sep 06- jarretts bores us on the mike bleating about how he's a victim, issues an open challenge and samoa joe comes out. jarrett hip tosses a male "fan" over the railings (yet another jobber, no doubt). norman smiley jobs to eric young who's obviously getting a push now. monty brown v rhyno in a falls count anywhere match, cage interferes and gives yet another s**t chair
shot to rhyno. bobby roode speaks to sensational sherri in another of his series to scout managers. LAX bore us on the mike, styles beomes a pinyata. and despite having the ultimate x ropes up for over 3 weeks of taping we saw no such matches take place.

No Surrender PPV 24th sep 06 - eric young v A1, A1 jobs in EY's continued push.
petey williams v jay lethal. wlliams jobs & i hope the Jackass people paid jay lethal & his guys a lot to pull all that jackass style b**ls**t over the last few weeks.

Abyss vs Brother Runt vs raven in a no dq match. abyss wins, no shock there.

Tag battle royal - amw, the naturals, the paparazzis, sharkboy & norman smiley, kazarian & maverick matt, ron killings & lance hoyt, diamonds in the rough and the james gang. (who put out who) - norman smiley by elix skipper, elix skipper by lance hoyt, lance hoyt by kazarian, jonny devine by truth, sharkboy by alex shelly chase stevens by maverick matt, maverick matt by truth, david young by truth, truth by alex shelley, bg james by alex shelley, kazarian by maverick matt from the outside, alex shelley by kip james, james storm by kip james, chris harris by kip james (who cheated his way back in cuz the refs never saw him touch the floor due to a fight on the ramp), kip james by chris harris (illegally).

amw v the naturals tag match (right after the battle royal). naturals win after help from the james gang.

x division championship. sabin vs senshi. sabin tries to pull some b**ls**t jackass stunt but senshi wins.

christian v rhyno - an over-long match that was pretty even. cage wins off an unprettier off a chair behind the refs back.

interview with styles & daniels (who shows no sign of the 2 head cuts he recently got).

Ultimate x tag championship match - styles & daniels V LAX. daniels takes the win for his team. awesome match, specially the angels wings thru a table.

Fans Revenge Lumberjack match - jarrett Vs samoa joe (non title contest). jarrett padded himself up in as many layers of clothes as possible for this. (i counted 3 layers in total) we saw the female "fan" in pink and the black male "fan" in yellow that jarrett had hit over the last 2 weeks (definately jobbers, as most likely were the rest of the lumberjacks). the cameramen in
a very in a very bad position to show how fake the stroke into the guitar was. joe wins off a musclebuster (and jarrett was strapped 7 separate occasions by the fans).

cornettes announcement #1 - impact goes prime time on november 16th.
cornettes announcement #2 - angle is coming to TNA. it's damn real!
(oh, and i noticed some FU cena shirts in the crowd).

My TNA Monthly Catch-up, Jul - Aug 06

Before I get started I need to say TNA need to finally sort out their running times for their Impact shows and stop taking breaks during matches. It's very unprofessional and lets them down a lot. Does WWE take ad breaks mid-match?

20th jul - Team 3d take a holiday, leaving Brother Runt to his own devices.

27th jul - TNA announcers have memory loss, AGAIN!. And continue to announce Samoa Joe as undefeated. Which he isn't. He LOST the X-division belt to Senshi over a month ago. So he's defeated. They have to get that FACT into your thick skulls. Lost belt = defeated, ok?
Here, read these 2 bits of information.

From Wikipedia:- on the x division belt succession.
Samoa Joe 2 April 10, 2006 Orlando, Florida Singles iMPACT!.
Senshi 2 June 19, 2006 Orlando, Florida Three-Way iMPACT! (see, Joe lost the belt. Defeated)

From Wikipedia:- On Joe's TNA streak.
Although in TNA he has lost two triple threat matches, a four-way match, a battle royal and an Ultimate X match, none of these have ever been won by pinning Joe or by making Joe submit and thus Joe is still referred to as being undefeated in his TNA career.

(a total of 5, count them FIVE matches where he has lost then. Hardly undefeated if he lost 5 matches, is he?)

3rd Aug - Samoa Joe also still thinks he's undefeated as well. short memory, eh? Loved the emegency meeting by the way.

10th Aug - Rhyno shows why you should pay attention, t**t.

Larry Z shows why men shouldnt wear wigs.
LAX are becoming the new Team Canada, #1 Tag team heels.
Runt goes super high flying. Cornette becomes an announcer.

13th Aug - PPV Pre-show. Hemme looking fierce!

Killings demoted from PPV status.

The Sting story is reshown despite the fact that it was shown on the 10th? WTF?

13th Aug - Hard Justice PPV 06 - I think the "fire" during the Eric Young/Jonny Devine was a work, they didn't evacuate right away or kill the tv feed so it wasn't real.

The 4-way tag match. How did Maverick Matt & Kazarian get into that? They are unknowns. Were they filling in because Team 3D are off eleswhere?

How many times did they run that Sting promo because of "technical difficulties"?

Kevin Nash unable to work due to a neck injury, no doubt inflicting whilst bending over to tie his shoelaces.

Runt went back to the oldschool tie dye, shades of ECW days.

They complained about losing time to the fire but they still found time to have pre-match interviews & flashback promo's. B**ls**t. If time was so tight why didnt they drop the Gail Kim/Sirrelda match? Every single match had either an interview or flashback promo before it (sometimes both) so they obviously didn't care about time or they'd have cut back on them as well. The tag belt match was too long by about 15 mins at least.
The Sting/Jarrett match ended in a predicable heel turn by Christian Cage.

My TNA Catch-up, Against All Odds PPV 06

In the main event who was more afraid? Jarrett afraid of Christian? or Christian afraid of Jarrett? There were numerous truly awful NO-SELL moments. Jeff Irish whipping Christian into the announce table. total no sell by Cage. jeff double leg boosting cage into the turnbuckle and cage hitting jeffs crotch. no sell by both of them.

the match looked like neither man was match fit, or both had suffered a bad experience at the hands of the other and was worried the other man was going to work stiffly. the match looked really dire. the audience invading the ring was a nice touch. it didnt really look totally scripted, not! sad that half the matches on the card made cage and jarrett look like rank beginners. nice of TNA to let us know where the whole Hebner angle was going.

sting at the next ppv to win the belt i guess, dropping it to monty brown at a house show.
