ECW 29th Sep 09 reviewed

My 1st ECW since 14th Apr this year, lets see if the show has made any progress forwards or gotten worse. As I haven't watched the show in 5 months I make no apologies for not knowing who people are or what current storylines are. Show opens with William Regal altering a match then Tony Atlas introduces some nobody called Abraham Washington (who he?) in some chat show bulls**t.
As if wrestling didn't already have too much talking they are adding a chat show segment too?
Paul Burchill vs Shelton Benjamin - Or rather not as Benjamin was jumped by some ginger dude (Sheamus O'Shaunessy, never heard of him - he must be new?) as he came to the ring, Benjamin was stupid enough to start the match already injured & we had some c**p spots then a commercial break with Burchill still on top when we rejoined the match. Oh and someone might want to tell Katy Leah Daffney called and wants her gimmick back. Burchill was on top for the whole of the match until Benjamin hit Paydirt out of nowhere to take the unexpected win. S**t match, quite frankly this didn't help progress any kind of storyline or help get either guy over. P**s poor, 2/10.
8 Man Tag Match, William Regal, Vladimir Kozlov, Ezekiel Jackson & Zack Ryder vs Goldust, Tommy Dreamer, Yoshi Tatsu & Christian - I see Ryder is STILL trying to be Grand Master Sexay? Jackson still looks like f**king Bad News Brown, only Tatsu was new to me here. Pretty c**p apart from the last minute, Tatsu took the win after kicking Regal in the head then hooked the leg to make the pin.
For a wrestling show this was P**S POOR, it was nearly 15 minutes into a 45 minute long show before we even had a match and they only had 2 matches? Quite frankly if WWE is calling this "Entertainment" then they need a new f**king thesaurus.

WWE Monday Night Raw 28th Sep 09 reviewed

This is my 1st Raw since 17th Aug this year so again I won't apologise for not knowing who people are or what storylines are running, neither do I care. Show opens with MVP & Mark Henry in some bulls**t talking segment. Apparently tonights guest host is Al Sharpton, never heard of him.
Unified Tag Title Match, MVP & Mark Henry vs Chris Jericho & The Big Show - F**king awful match where all the action was in the last minute, Jericho took the win off The Codebreaker.
Mickie James vs Rosa Mendes (with Alicia Fox) - As soon as I saw Fox I predicted a c**p ending, the match itself was nothing to write home about. James hit a nice Hurricanrana, Fox tried to distract James who sidestepped whatever Mendes was trying & nailed a nice Spinkick to the head of Mendes to take the easy win.
Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase Jr (AKA Legacy) come out to yap on the mic, why come dressed to wrestle then?
Jack Swagger vs Evan Bourne - Bourne jobbed pretty much the whole match with Swagger taking the win off a modified Powerbomb. Why are they making such a fuss over an old WCW belt that had zero prestige anyway?
Tag Match, Santino Marella & Hornswaggle vs Chavo Guerrero & Chris Masters - Wasn't Masters originally fired for a drug related issue? It still looks like he's on the 'roids though P**s poor match where Masters took the win off The Master Lock.
3 On 1 Gauntlet Match, John Cena vs Chris Jericho - I'm not exactly sure why they were billing this as a gauntlet match as Cena was only ever fighting 1 guy at a time. Cena took the win off a DQ after Jericho refused to break off The Walls Of Jericho.
John Cena vs The Big Show - Another poor match, Show pretty much owned Cena until Cena hit a DDT out of nowhere, Cena had Show up on his shoulders but Jericho ran in & took out Cena's legs so the ref called for the bell with Cena taking the win off a DQ on outside interference.
John Cena vs Randy Orton - Cena just pointed skywards and the cell (all prebuilt & ready set-up for the ppv) started coming down, Cena held onto Orton as it dropped but Orton broke free just missing his chance to escape the cell. Cena did block the door for all of 3 seconds but Orton escaped through the open cell door & instead of running away up the ramp he climbed the cell followed by Cena, Cena hit The Attitude Adjustment on top of the cell but there was no call about who won this so I guess they counted both guys out.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown 25th Sep 09 reviewed

My 1st Smackdown since 17th Apr this year, again I make no apologies for not knowing people or storylines. Show opens with CM Punk getting booed so I guess he's a heel now? No-one cares what he was saying & all the darkness bulls**t was exactly that.
Tagmatch, John Morrison & Finlay vs Mike Knox & Dolph Ziggler - So Psycho Sid lost his gimmick to Ziggler & The Barbarian lost his to Knox? By the time the bell had rung for this (the 1st match of the show) the show was already well over 17 minutes old with no wrestling having happened yet. Well this thing kicked off & they went for a commercial break within a few minutes, coming back Knox was on top over Finlay who was too old to be jobbing like this 10 years ago so he's well past whatever prime he might have had. Morrison had a decent enough match, I enjoyed his Hurricanrana on Knox as well as the standing Shooting Star Press. Knox took out his own partner with a Flying Crossbody Block allowing Finlay to nail him with the Shillelagh allowing Morrison to take the win off Starship Pain.
Slam Master J vs Kane - J is Jesse (of Jesse & Festus fame) so it looks like they are trying to wring every last drop out of s**tty rapper gimmicks. P**s poor super s**t match where Kane took the win off a Chokeslam. Jesse, go back to Festus, at least you were over & not a jobbing wanker with him. Well, not a wanker at least.
Vince McMahon comes out, gives a cheap crowd pop, makes some announcement. No clue who Drew McIntyre is or why he was being introduced either.
The Big Show vs Batista - F**king awful & very long boring match, Batista took the win off DQ by outside interference when Chris Jericho came in to make the save on his tag partner. Atrocious match.
JTG vs David Hart Smith - Smith had a good match, I enjoyed watching him. JTG didn't fare all that badly either, I've never seen much of him to be honest. Natalya distracted the ref allowing Tyson Kidd to kick JTG in the head & Smith took the win off a big powerful Suplex. Not a bad match at all.
CM Punk vs The Undertaker - I see we've gone back to Ministry Of Darkness Taker? I guess if we're going back through all the Taker gimmicks it'll be the American Bad Ass next then? I'm not exactly sure why we are seeing these 2 fighting if their due to meet each other at a PPV fairly soon. Possibly one of the most boring matches I have ever seen with pretty much nothing happening, CM Punk took the win when The Undertaker was counted out,
Call THAT a finish? P**s poor.

My Weekly TNA Catch-up, Impact 24th Sep 09 reviewed

Show opens with the MEM yakking on the mic, Kurt Angle whines & The World Elite come down to join them.
No DQ Anything Goes Street Fight, Suicide vs D'Angelo Dinero - Dinero jumped Suicide, not sure why Dineros ribs were taped, he took no body injuries at the PPV. I guess Russo thought we're not already sick to death of seeing these 2 work each other, its only been a few matches & I'm already pig sick of it. Was that ECW star CW Anderson in the front row? It looked just like him. For a hardcore match this was pretty s**t, no spots worth calling either. Suicide took the win off The Suicide Solution into a garbage can. (S**t match #1)
Grudge Match, Rhino vs Brother Devon - Devon jumped Rhino at the bottom of the ramp but this was in then back out of the ring, Devon got busted open somewhere before he sidestepped the Gore from Rhino who smashed right into the guard rail as Earl Hebner called for the bell the colour desk called this one a double count out. I am not even going to discuss what happened post match, POINTLESS. (S**t match #2)
Knockout Tagteam Championship, Taylor Wilde & Sarita vs Tara & ODB - Erm, where the f**k is Christy Hemme? Why has ODB taken her spot with Tara? Now this was shaping up to be a REALLY good match, it had some great spots then that retard Russo sent Awesome Kong out which distracted Tara off the apron as she fought Kong into the backstage area. ODB put up an ok fight on her own but Wilde took the win when Sarita hit the Missile Dropkick allowing Wilde to pin off the Bridging Suplex. Never once did anyone mention why Taras former partner Christy Hemme wasn't teaming with her here tonight.
X Division Championship, Daniels vs Homicide vs Samoa Joe - So this is the rubber match from the weekends PPV (Why? It had a clean finish, Daniels has no right to any rematch) but Joe has Homicide who is not really going to be a challenger here. Pretty predictably it was a handicap match for Daniels who Joe took out and almost pinned off The Muscle Buster but Homicide got lippy and took a Fall Away Slam for his troubles, Samoa Joe took the eventual win off the Rear Naked Choke after Homicide tapped out. (S**t match #3)
Tag Match, Eric Young & Kurt Angle vs Hernandez & Matt Morgan - A p**s poor match with no spots to speak of, after a Splash by Hernandez on Angle & Young Morgan took the win with The Carbon Footprint on Young. S**t match, s**t finish and I was left wondering how they were going to fill the last 23 minutes of the show. (S**t match #4)
Jethro Holliday vs Bobby Lashley - 1st Commandment of Lashley, thou shalt job whilst putting me over. Lashley won off some sort of Reverse Chokehold that Holliday tapped out of or at least I assume he did as the ref just called for the bell (he was tapping on Lashleys far shoulder so it was very difficult to see on camera). (S**t match #5)
Tagteam Championship, Scott Steiner & Booker T vs Abyss & Mick Foley - With all the hullabulloo Foley had been making during the course of the show it was predictable what was going happen here, I forsaw Foley having found out Abyss smashed the picture he was going to beat him up leaving MEM to retain their titles. Abyss was trying out 3 faces of Foley tonight (Classic Foley with the Flannel Shirt, Dude Love with the Tye dye T-shirt & Mankind with the mask) so I wonder how long it will be before Abyss wears leopard print Cowboy boots to the ring. After an epic beating Abyss tagged Foley in who predictably nailed Abyss with the Double Arm DDT then tagged Abyss back in allowing Booker to take an easy win off the Axe Kick. Post Match Foley attacked Abyss with the video tape smashing it in his face busting him open then whaling on him with the barbed wire bat. (S**t match #6)
We had 7 matches, 6 of them were utter s**t & the other had a shit finish a worse run-in & worse storyline to raise heat which could have been done in a MUCH better way. In the womens match if they wanted ODB to have heat with Tara all they had to do was get them to have a miscommunication which led to ODB clotheslining Tara costing them the match. More believable and way more entertaining than the s**t Russo came up with. And I still want to know why the team of Hemme & Tara suddenly vapourised so quickly. Bring on Lacey Von Erich, things might start picking up then. I assume they are trying to make a feud between Hamada & Alissa Flash too? If they are going to do do that either write out Raisha Saeed or reveal her to be Flash, sooner rather than later. Which ever idea they use, do it soon.

My TNA Catch-up, No Surrender PPV 09

Final Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, Sarita & Taylor Wilde vs The Beautiful People - Well they did explain Angelina Love had left TNA getting "Future endeavored" which allowed Madison Rayne to fill her spot here. We had controversy before this even started with Earl Hebner sending Slick Johnson back to the locker room as he had been implicated in getting Rayne & Sky wins they didn't earn in the past.

Sarita Dropkicked Rayne out of the ring within seconds of the bell and Sarita was owning Sky with about 5 pin attempts in the 1st few minutes of the match where Rayne had to make a save to stop the closest of those. Rayne turned things around & Sky came back in but Sarita was having to oversell a few moves (that hairpull flip was the worst offender) to put Sky over as on top, however Saritas Floatover DDT was poorly executed & very poorly sold by Sky. The finish to this was excellent though with Sarita nailing a Dropkick on Rayne as Wilde hit an awesome Bridging Suplex to take the win and become the 1st TNA Knockout Tagteam Champions as the best team got the gold.

Special Grudge Match, Eric Young vs Hernandez - Young actually came out in his suit so this was never going to be any kind of match with Young having said he wouldn't fight at all, Hernandez took the VERY quick win off The Border Toss. I have no clue why they bothered to put this on the PPV, I wouldn't have even given it away for free on the web.
X Division Championship Match, Daniels vs Samoa Joe - To be honest this was pretty dull considering the ability level of these 2 guys, Daniels was on top until Joe targeted his leg and it was all downhill from there really. Samoa Joe took the win off The Rear Naked Chokehold, VERY poor match that was way too long as well.

Backstage segment, Mick Foley discovers someone has destroyed the drawn picture of him & JB he was presented with a few weeks ago and vows to deal with them. Lauren was interviewing D'Angelo Dinero when Suicide jumped him. They then switched to the ring where the ref rang the bell to start this match.

Falls Count Anywhere, D'Angelo Dinero vs Suicide - The ref had to run up the ramp & down the heel tunnel entrance to the backstage area where Suicide & Dinero had managed to get outside the studio, Dinero definately hurt himself doing the Elbow Drop off the transportation cases. The match got a little surreal after the dumpster & golf cart then became X-rated after Dinero had a wardrobe malfunction getting his trunks pulled down showing his ass, Taz joked it was lucky it wasn't a Ric Flair match (actually Taz I have already SEEN Ric Flairs ass in a match in the 80's against The Undertaker in Birmingham, England - it wasn't pretty).

Dinero adjusted his trunks after kicking Suicide in the gut & finally made it into the ring where Suicide hit a nice Springboard Dropkick, they may have bumped heads when Suicide did the Slingshot Splash over the ropes. Suicide went for a table but Dinero attempted a Baseball Slide that didn't quite work but did stop Suicide allowing Dinero to set up the table by the side of the entrance ramp, Dinero may have hit his head again when he Suplexed Suicide on the ramp.

Dinero also took a pretty nasty bump off Suicides Flip Dive but that was nothing compared to Suicide missing his Leg Drop off the top of the heels entrance tunnel through a table after Dinero rolled out of the way, Dinero had the good sense to cover Suicide after that to take the win here where I think both guys were very winded but Dinero definately hurt his elbow after a fall on Kurt Angles entrance lift.

TNA Knockouts Championship Match, Cody Deaner vs ODB - For those wondering why the lights were off because they were still clearing the debris away from the tunnels after the previous match. Deaner gave no offence at all to speak of so this was mainly him selling for ODB & putting her over until he took her off the top turnbuckle.

ODB sold the Powerslam off Deaner but caught him in the crotch & hit a nice Hip Toss following up with a Splash into the turnbuckles, ODB hit the Thesz Press but Deaner tried to get the win off a pin with his legs on the middle rope which the ref spotted & argued with Deaner about. ODB nearly got the win a couple of times off referee assistance (when Deaner was pushed into a Schoolboy Roll-up & when Deaners arms were kicked off the top rope into a Small Package).

ODB caught Deaner trying a Floatover & was going for the Running Powerslam but Deaner had it scouted & wriggled out of it to floor ODB with a big right hand that she bearly kicked out off (aren't closed fist punches supposed to be a big no-no even under kayfabe?), Deaner went high risk missing a Frogsplash only for ODB to hit what Tenay called a Dropdown TKO to take the win and is crowned the new Knockout Champion.

Mick Foley comes down to join the announce team carrying a barbed wire baseball bat.
Legends Championship, Abyss v Kevin Nash - If Abyss wins he gets the title, if Nash wins he gets Dr Stevies $50,000 bounty as well as retaining the belt. With the "heat" already between Foley & Abyss. Well this match was awful & got even worse when the camera showed us Dr. Stevie sitting in a chair at the top of the entrance ramp (almost certainly a Russo inspired idea) which distracted Abyss allowing Nash to get the upper hand. Abyss did get back into the game a little with a nice Sideslam but Stevie decided to come down the ramp causing the ref to come out to stop him which allowed Daffney to enter the ring with a "taser" only to run into a Black Hole Slam.

Abyss was about to use the taser when Dr Stevie ran in to steal it distracting the ref up the ramp which allowed Nash to nail Abyss with a chair but he barely kicked out of the pin, Abyss hit a very poor Chokeslam on Nash (I think it was Nash not willing to sell the fall properly that f**ked that move up) as Abyss called for the bat off Foley, the ref tried to stop him but Abyss grabbed the barbed wire & dropped it as Nash tasered Abyss in the balls hooking the leg to make the win & retain his title.

The ref had awarded Nash the $50k but Dr. Stevie came in & took it away only to get a Jack Knife Powerbomb for his troubles. Backstage interview, Scott Steiner makes it clear he doesn't like The British Invasion or anyone else come to that, he's an equal opportunities xenophobe.

Lethal Lockdown Match - Basically its the old WCW Wargames match with only 1 cage that Dusty Rhodes invented & brought this modified version to TNA when he was Director Of Authority, you have 2 teams & the match starts with 1 guy from each team then after 5 minutes another guy comes out from alternate teams with a new guy coming down every 2 minutes after that so the 1st team always have an advantage. After everyone is inside the cage they lock down the roof and weapons are legal, 1st team to make a pin or submission wins.

Doug Williams is 1st in for the MEM/World Elite Team with James Storm coming out 1st for the Beer Money/Team 3D combo. This kicked off on the ramp with Williams trying to pre-empt Storm only to get punched then recieve a facefull of beer for his trouble, Williams took a Hip Toss on the ramp then got smashed head first into the guard rail & ring steps then Storm finally threw Williams into the ring.

Williams was on top initially but Storm came back having more time in charge, it wasn't a great opening section though. Next in for the heels was Brutus Magnus who got a facefull of cage door after Storm nailed a wicked Baseball Slide only for Williams to Slingshot Storm into the door as Magnus slammed it shut in Storms face to return the favour. Magnus finally got in the cage & Storm was on the wrong end of their double team as we saw he'd been cut on his forehead.

As the countdown expired the next guy in for the face team was Robert Roode so it was tagteam versus tagteam & there is no shortage of heat between these 4 guys. Roode evened the playing field pretty quickly taking out Magnus & Williams on his own as Roode Sling Shotted Williams into a nice DDT from Storm, next out for the heels was Scott Steiner.

Roode got himself a Frankensteiner off the top turnbuckle (that Roode had to provide a LOT of help on as Steiner wasn't able to put his feet behind Roode and had to grip Roode with his knees), Roode & Storm were soon worn down after Steiner & the Brits smashed both men into the cage like a battering ram. Next out for the face team was Brother Devon (pretty predictable to be honest as MEM had already sent out their power guy so Team 3D were always going to do the same thing) who levelled things out again.

Last guy down for the heels was Booker T who took his sweet time strolling down to the ring as slowly as he possibly could. Last guy down for the faces was Brother Ray who was also the final entrant, as Ray was at the bottom of the ramp Big Rob came out of nowhere & blindsided Ray over the guardrail into the crowd then nailing him with a chair, Rob also forced the guy controlling the cage roof to bring it down (which incidently should have been an instant DQ on outside interference & the win going to Team 3D & Beer Money).

Once the weapons came into play Beer Money & Devon were getting the ever holy c**pola beaten out of them, Brother Ray managed to sidestep a chairshot from Big Rob outside the ring only to nail Rob with the same chair that finally allowed Brother Ray to enter the match legally and was a 1 man levelling machine beating on the MEM & British Invasion.

Magnus managed to climb up & out onto the roof of the cage where he was fighting with Storm trying to stomp him off the edge of the cage only for Roode to start whaling on him with a steel crutch, Magnus also took a nasty looking bump off a Double Suplex from Beer Money on the top of the cage. Steiner got hit with a 3D but Booker levelled Ray with a garbage can & Williams nailed Devon with a chair, Booker got a near fall from a Bookend on Ray but Williams took a garbage can shot to the head from Booker after a slight miscommunication. Storm & Roode hit the DWI on Doug Williams as Brother Ray stood guard for the faces to take the win in a match where the crowd were chanting "This is awesome".

Rhino vs Bobby Lashley - I don't think anyone expected anything less than a complete victory for Lashley here who I like to think of as a black Brock Lesnar. I was quite surprised to see Rhino getting some time on top as I fully expected him to be jobbing wholesale to Lashley here after Dixie Carters recent comments that made it sound like everyone working him would be expected to be Lashleys bitch.

Lashley did sell quite a lot so Rhino wasn't left looking like a complete c**t thankfully but once Lashley was on top he was always staying there, I didn't see how Rhino was busted open (probably after Lashley hit the Back Elbow) but the ref was taken out when Rhino pushed him into Lashley going for the Spear. As Lashley was checking on the ref Rhino hit The Gore which was a near fall, Rhino went for a 2nd Gore but Lashley hit him with a big right hand (yet another closed fist winning a match?) to take the predicted win here.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match, AJ Styles vs Matt Morgan vs Sting vs Kurt Angle - Really this is a handicap match for Angle as no-one likes him here & he has no friends or allies. After everyone had been introduced Hernandez came out and cashed in his Feast Or Fired title shot (I guess his s***ty short match makes slightly more sense now) and is now the 5th man in what previously had been a 4 way match.

Angle tried to argue with the colour guys but I don't know why as they have no booking control, when Angle came back into the ring he was arguing with Hernandez then clocked him on the chin which was a very bad move that earnt him a stiff Clothesline off Supermex who just started beating the s**t out of Angle and the bell hadn't even rung yet. Hernandez held Angle for 33 seconds (I counted!) before nailing the Suplex then Clotheslining Angle over the top rope to the floor where Hernandez followed him & that waste of f**king oxygen Earl Hebner FINALLY had them ring the bell to start this match about 2 minutes too late by my count the utterly useless c**t that he is.

Both Styles & Sting went for quick pins on Morgan with Hernandez fighting with Angle on the ramp, Angle was taken up for The Border Toss but Eric Young ran out to make the save before hitting a Piledriver on Hernandez at the top of the ramp. Morgan was doubleteamed by Sting & Styles until he was sent out of the ring leaving Sting & Styles to go 1 on 1. As the trainer was checking on Hernandez Sting & Styles worked a nice program with Styles going over the top into Morgan & Angle who took more of the shot. Angle & Morgan decided to team up after that with Styles working a great sequence with Angle although after a Hurricanrana from the apron by Styles on Angle it was left to Morgan & Sting who had to take it into the ring to allow recovery time for Angle & Styles.

Angle & Morgan cooked up a plan to doubleteam Sting which worked fine until Styles made a Springboard back into the ring to take out Angle then started to whale on Morgan whose strength soon put a stop to that sending Styles off with a Fallaway Slam. Styles was getting worked over by Morgan & Angle until he sidestepped a Spear which put Angle shoulder 1st into a ringpost but Morgan Dropkicked Styles stopping him getting any impetus, Morgan was on top until he missed a big boot getting himself hung up over the top rope allowing Styles to connect with a Pele out of nowhere. Angle recovered to hit Styles with a Suplex only to get a facefull of Missile Dropkick from Sting (I think Sting hurt his shoulder on the landing as he was holding it when he was on the floor as all the moves he did from that point on were mainly using his other arm) and Sting walked into a Suplex from Angle.

Styles managed to stop a pin but missed one himself off The Styles Clash as Morgan stopped that pin attempt, Morgan missed his own pin off The Hellavator (the worst I have ever seen it done to date, its not like Morgan isn't strong enough to lift Styles or Styles isn't brave enough to sell the move either so I have no clue who was to blame) as Sting stopped the count there. Sting was hooked up in the Ankle Lock until Morgan floored Angle with The Carbon Footprint but Sting sent Morgan over the top rope to the floor (with Morgan grabbing his leg either working being hurt or having taken a bad bump).

Sting & Styles had a quick stare off then for some bizarre reason Sting launched himself off the apron into Morgan taking him out of the equation leaving the finish down to Angle & Styles, Styles nailed a Springboard 450 Splash hooking Angles leg to take the win and AJ Styles is the new TNA Heavyweight Champion so I guess that was Sting passing the torch & it seems rumours aren't true that he will be holding the belt until his departure from both TNA and wrestling which are due very soon if sources are to be believed.

The crowd pop for Styles announced as champ was huge & it was only right that his best friend Daniels was 1st down to the ring to celebrate with him followed by a ring invasion from the crowd (clearly none of them have ever seen what happens when crowds storm a ring, do they not remember the infamous ECW Hardcore Heaven '95 PPV Public Enemy vs The Gangstas match where the ring collapsed?), Taz even commented on having seen a ring break before.

Jeremy Borash came into the ring and was stupid enough to try an interview (a completely insane notion due to the noise of the fans coupled with the fact that they were still playing Styles' entrance music as well) but I think there were safety concerns about the amount of people in-ring as they eventually cut away to a promo of next months PPV.

My Weekly TNA Catch-up, Impact 17th Sep 09 reviewed

Semi-final Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, Tara & Christy Hemme vs The Beautiful People - Because of various reasons I already knew the result of this before the bell, that Love & Sky took the win. The match didn't have a great start & was more of a brawl, I get the feeling Hemme & Tara also knew Love was going & took every chance they had to whale on her big time. The match did pick up after Taras Bridging Suplex & Standing Moonsault, Hemme hit the FFG that Love had to make a save to stop the pin but Tara took Love out of the ring to level things.
Madison Rayne came down (Russo at work then I guess?) & it seemed like she was going to spray Sky who moved so Hemme got a facefull of spray in her eyes allowing Sky to make a Schoolboy Roll-up to take the win. It seems Raynes departure from The Beautiful People was a work as they showed her apologising to Love & Sky so I guess Rayne will be replacing Love now she is gone? As this was being recorded 2 weeks ago Loves future in TNA was already in danger due to a work visa issue as it was due to expire, it was announced the visa expired & that Love had been released from TNA.
D'Angelo Dinero vs Suicide - I can't believe how much of a push Dinero is getting especially at the expense of already established & very over X Division guys. Suicide jumped Dinero and this was just a fist fight until Dinero started doing some actual moves. Dinero had an ok match but the weardown came at the wrong time, Dinero took a bad bump off the Dropkick hitting his head on the turnbuckles. Dinero took the expected win off the DDE. P**s poor match where it sounded like everyone was booing the finish of this, Dinero is NOT over.
Handicap Match, Sheik Abdul Bashir & Kiyoshi vs Hernandez - Not a very good match, Hernandez took the win off The Border Toss on Kiyoshi who had a very bad landing on the back of his neck. Homicide came out as a distraction but Eric Young nailed Hernandez from behind with a chair as well as hitting him across the neck with the Feast Or Fired Briefcase. Hernandez spitting out foam was a bit stupid though, does he have rabies?
TNA Knockdown Lumberjack Match, Alissa Flash vs Cody Deaner - All the Knockouts were ringside acting as Lumberjacks and Flash started this sending Deaner over the top rope to the floor, he thought he wasn't going to get hit until Awesome Kong blindsided him with a Splash then everyone started kicking the c**p out of him. Roxxi & Sojo Bolt Suplexed him on the ramp (so she didn't go home after her tag match then!) & I'm pretty sure it was Daffney & Traci who Slingshotted him into the ring post then Brooks got them to roll him back into the ring and Flash made the easy pin.
Post match Kong jumped Tara & Rayne was fighting with Hemme, Kong & Tara fought off into the backstage area & Deaner backed up the ramp into ODB who floored him with a big right hand holding the flask setting the stage for their match this Sunday at the PPV.
Legends Championship Title Match, Kevin Nash vs Mick Foley - This match was going nowhere with zero action to speak of when Russo sent out Abyss with a barbed wire baseball bat which led to Foley getting DQ'd on outside interference so Nash retains his title. Yet another p**s poor Russo finish tonight, the guy keeps knocking 'em out of the park doesn't he?
Tag Match, Scott Steiner & Brutus Magnus (With The British Invasion & Booker T) vs Robert Roode & Brother Ray (with James Storm & Brother Devon) - The winner of this match gets the man advantage in the Lethal Lockdown match at this weekends PPV, not a good match at all & it eventually broke down into chaos when Big Rob distracted the ref allowing Doug Williams to nail Roode with the IWGP belt allowing Magnus to make the pin.
Semi-final Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, Awesome Kong & Raisah Saeed vs Sarita & Taylor Wilde - A fairly good match, Wilde & Sarita were the far superior team in terms of both skill & entertainment and Wilde took the win off a Bridging German Suplex out of nowhere.
Kurt Angle joins the colour team.
Samoa Joe vs Matt Morgan - I'm not exactly sure why the announcer doing the introductions felt the need to tell us this was a non-title match as Morgan isn't X Division material anyway but thats by the by. TNA really had no interest in this match as it was only ever going to be a maximum of 6 minutes long at best by the time the bell rang, Joe kicked Morgan in the head real early in a very fast start with Morgan selling for Joe. Morgan turned things around with a big boot, some elbows to the head & a Splash followed by a Sideslam.
Morgan had set up for The Hellavator but Joe cut him off with some kicks to Morgans legs and a suplex that Morgan totally no-sold by getting up & nailing Joe with a Chokeslam. Morgan was going for The Carbon Footprint but Joe bailed to the floor where they were scrapping outside the ring with Joe sending Morgan into the colour desk with a Drop Toe Hold takedown which hit Angle & angered him into beating on Morgan which resulted in the bell so I assume Morgan won with Joe being DQ'd off outside interference.
Morgan & Angle went at it by the ramp and Daniels came out to jump Joe and security had to separate them several times but Angle eventually hit The Olympic Slam putting Morgan through the table that had been used during the show by The Motor City Machine Guns as an announce position
Its worth catching up with a few other bits of TNA related news. Jim Cornette, BG James, Savio Vega & Dutch Mantel have been fired. Savio & Dutch both worked in a backstage capacity & the general feeling is all Jeff Jarretts friends are being released. Traci Brooks did not appear in Playboy magazine, her shoot was offered online instead (the pictures aren't great & don't flatter her at all) & Kurt Angle has been in court with Rhaka Khan. Daniels was arrested for DUI so it seems things are going very badly for TNA at the moment.

The mystery beep - SOLVED

Over the last day or so I have noticed this beep in my room, its something that goes beep (but not very loudly) every 30-40 seconds or so as regular as clockwork. And tracking down its source has become very annoying. Last night I was convinced it was my CPU fan or one of my hard drives but I eliminated those as possibilities after the pc had been switched off for several hours and the beeping continued.

So I thought perhaps it might be my vcr so I unplugged it, sure enough still more beeping. With that eliminated I unplugged my digital set top box but the beep carried on. So I unplugged the tv. I actually killed power to every electrical device in the room apart from the lightbulb and even with that switched off the beep still continues. I think to eliminate everything electric as a source I am going to have to kill power to everything for at least a couple of hours to make sure there is no residual power to them. I guess I will write an update after I have tried that.

UPDATE:- After having killed power for over 5 hours I am still no closer to knowing what the source of the beep is but have a few theories.
1) Its the telly. I know it has no power but possibly something inside it does?
2) Its not in the room or electrical in source at all, I think its a bird or bug outside the room near the window.

Theory 2 is the most likely to be honest, I know there are birds near my window and they make some right weird noises sometimes.

UPDATE:- It appears that completely by accident Gareth found the source of the beep, its next doors alarm system cycling.

My Weekly TNA Catch-up, Impact 10th Sep 09 reviewed

8 Man Tag Team Gauntlet Match, Beer Money vs Team 3D vs The British Invasion vs The MEM - This match had already started when the show opened with Booker T coming down to join the match & James Storm being the final participant to enter the match. Basically this was booked to sort out all the issues stemming from the postmatch beatdown that closed last weeks Impact. It seemed this was 2 teams versus 2 other teams and there was MAJOR confusion when Brutus Magnus took the win by pinning Scott Steiner so it appears it was every team versus every other team but I guess thats what you get when TNA drop you into a match that has already started and don't bother explaining the situation to you at all. Someone on the colour desk needs to get fired for that.
Kurt Angle comes out to waffle to Matt Morgan. Sting & AJ Styles come out to join in. Ref Earl Hebner refuses to change his call on last weeks match. Mick Foley backstage segment with Dr Stevie, were those his kids in the office?
1st Round Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, Daffney & Alissa Flash vs Sarita & Taylor Wilde - I had already predicted Wilde & Sarita HAVE to win this otherwise Alissa will be facing herself (as Raisha Saeed) which is impossible. I love the Flash persona as she is so strong arm in terms of her moves, Sarita seriously flubbed an armdrag on Daffney and the colour desk had to cover a major assist from Wilde who had to really shove Daffney hard to be in position for Sarita to hit the step off crossbody block.
Wilde was put into a nice abdominal stretch that Taz said is called the Daffknees & Wilde used a knee to the face to get out of it, Flash & Daffney caught Sarita trying a Crossbody Block but Sarita managed to hit a Tornado DDT on Daffney from it. Wilde came in and made the assist taking Daffney out but Sarita hit a nice Pumphandle Slam to take the predicted win in this match.
Backstage interview with The World Elite. Backstage interview with Suicide. The Motor City Machine Guns come out & unveil another colour desk where they sit down.
Jay Lethal vs D'Angelo Dinero - With the way TNA are pushing this new guy Lethal was always only ever going to job big time here. Quite frankly Lethal worked his ass off here and was on top for most of the match but once Dinero rolled the kneepads down this was only ever going 1 way exactly as predicted and Dinero took the win off what he calls the DDE (D'Angelo Dinero Express) which is that double knee backstab into a Schoolboy roll-up.
Backstage segment between World Elite & MEM. Something goes wrong with the sound & you can hardly hear audio on the next match & the rest of the show.
1st Round Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, The Beautiful People vs Madison Rayne & Roxxi - It was nice to see Roxxi come out as Raynes mystery partner as she left the company for all the wrong reasons and a large percentage of those reasons (aka Rhaka Khan) are no longer on tv anyway due to injury issues. Roxxi got a massive pop from the Impact Zone crowd who were obviously just as pleased as me to see her back, sadly from what I read online this was a 1 time only appearance as Roxxi is currently employed by AAA in Mexico. Roxxi had a kick-a** match here and really should have taken the win after nailing the Voodoo Drop on Love as the ref was so far out of position to make the count it was f**king unreal! Love took the eventual win off a Schoolboy roll-up & a handfull of Raynes shorts.
Backstage segment with Mick Foley & Cody Deaner. Foley comes out to join the colour announcers.
Special Grudge Match, Abyss vs Dr Stevie - Stevie jumped Abyss as he was being introduced so never got any introduction himself. Foley & Taz were putting Stevie over as a legit worker from his ECW days and Abyss took the pretty easy win off The Black Hole Slam. As Abyss was celebrating his win Kevin Nash jumped him but it took Mick Foley to make the save.
The World Elite waffle on the mic about Hernandez but Hector Guerrero comes out instead.
Mixed Martial Arts rules match, Tara vs Cody Deaner - Tara has expressed an interest in actually doing real MMA so this match was kind of a curiosity from that standpoint only. The Motor City Machine Guns called this match & they pointed out the duct tape on Tara (it was to cover the word Rizing on her t-shirt, shorts & cap as WWE are currently taking legal action against her calling herself that because HHH used to have a similar name). This was actually an ok match with Tara providing all the action & Deaner selling it until the rather s***ty ref bump off Deaners clothesline that Tara predictably ducked and it took the ref out. Tara was hitting Deaner with a volley of right hands until that F**KWIT Russo sent Awesome Kong down on a run-in to splash Tara from behind & nail the Implant Buster and the ref then "recovered" to award the win to Cody Deaner.
Replay of Taras defeat, backstage interview with Cody Deaner who thinks he won. Rundown of No Surrender PPV card, footage of Rhino "attacking" Bobby Lashley at his gym.
Tag Match, AJ Styles & Daniels (with Sting) vs Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe (with Matt Morgan) - Angle wasn't very happy about Morgan coming down but Morgan took a chair & sat back from the ring. Quite frankly this match was a complete turd until Styles hit Angle with the Pele, the match was always going one way from that point onwards with Styles & Daniels pretty much owning Angle (and Joe during his various attempts at interference & saves) but Morgan signalled Angle to use his chair and Angle went for it only for Styles to put the brakes on & send Angle into the chair head first allowing Styles to make the pin for his team.
Post match Angle reprimanded Morgan & slapped him but got The Carbon Footprint then the Hellavator off Morgan for his troubles. We then saw World Elite beating up Homicide & they brought him to the ring and called out Hernandez who took out ALL of World Elite to save Homicide only to get a chair across the back from Homicide and his heel turn is begun. Fans note, Homicide wore NO LAX gear to indicate this was the start of his heel turn.

Computer Quandry - SOLVED

So what do you do if your pc will open certain web addresses but not others? Even if it HAS opened those URL's before? Clearly I am connected as I have written this blog entry through the same browser yet for some reason (the browser isn't even giving me a 404 error) it won't open certain pages like Facebook even though I have used it several times today.

I am also getting connection issues with newsgroups through Outlook Express as well.

EDIT:- It turns out VM were having a UK wide network router issue to American based sites. Explains why then.

My Weekly TNA Catch-up, Impact 3th Sep 09 reviewed

No Surrender World Title Qualifying Match, Rhino vs Sting - With Rhino having recently turned heel & Sting on his way out of TNA Rhino was always going to be jobbing here. Both guys had a decent enough match but after a nice belly to belly suplex from Rhino there was a missed Gore & Sting hit The Scorpion Death Drop to take the predicted win.
No Surrender World Title Qualifying Match, Chris Sabin (with Alex Shelley) vs AJ Styles - This is 2 of the best workers in TNA today in terms of skill & ability and we were getting it in spades here. Sabins headscissors off the apron to the floor was very good and Styles was more than happy to sell for Sabin. Styles almost got it off a Springboard Flying Forearm & caught Sabin trying a Hurricanrana to hit a wicked reverse DDT, Styles flubbed his reverse flip into whatever move he was going for but Sabin just about covered it throwing Styles back to the turnbuckle to nail a big boot. Sabin went for something off a springboard move which Styles ducked & hit The Pele finishing with The Styles Clash to get the win here.
Webography with Matt Morgan, backstage interview Lauren & Matt Morgan.
No Surrender World Title Qualifying Match, Doug Williams vs Suicide - For some reason TNA chose to show the 2 segements from Morgan completely missing the introduction of Williams only showing Suicides intro & ring entry here. This was slow to get started & Suicide flubbing the sell of Williams hitting the big boot didn't help their cause too greatly either, Williams managed to kick out of the flip slam but Tenay & Taz displayed their woeful lack of knowledge about Williams by harping on about how difficult a singles match must be for him but they failed to take into account that from the start of his indy career he was a singles wrestler so this is nothing new at all for him.
This was actually a fairly ok match until some d**khead (Russo, in a typically f**kwitted idea of his) decided to send D'Angelo Dinero out to try and distract Suicide who had Williams floored but decided to jump off the top turnbuckle & took out Dinero and the ref started a count on him, Dinero slowed Suicide down on his entry but Suicide kicked him off only to walk right into Williams who took the win off a Rolling German Suplex.
1st Round Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, Sojo Bolt & Hamada vs Christy Hemme & Tara - This started out with some nice upright technical wrestling before Tara hit a lovely bridge, Hamada nailed Tara who was stupid enough to bow out of respect before nailing a beautiful springboard into a Moonsault off the ropes into an almost near fall.
Bolt had a short stint inside and Hemme came in as well but it was Hamada & Hemme with Hamada on top after a strong headbutt as they took a rather badly timed and rather poorly advised commercial break. Coming back from the break Bolt had come back into the match and Hemme managed to bail tagging Tara back in who unleashed on Bolt selling a stiff looking clothesline off Tara & it took Hamada to make the save to stop the pin. Hemme came in to level the playing field hitting a nice inverted DDT on Hamada and Tara took the win off The Widows Peak. Hamada wasn't super happy & nailed Bolt with the Hamada Driver post match.
No Surrender World Title Qualifying Match, Homicide vs Hernandez - If there was 1 way to show the TNA audience that LAX have definately split never to reform then this match is the deal closer I guess. Homicide had still come down to the old LAX intro music & was also wearing an LAX t-shirt but Hernandez has his new ring outfit & intro music. Hernandez was initially on top playing the power game until Homicide used his speed taking out a leg & working on it. Hernandez took the eventual win off The Front Face Slam.
Webography with AJ Styles. Interviews with AJ Styles & Doug Williams. Kurt Angle joins Tenay & Taz at the colour desk.
No Surrender World Title Qualifying Match, Doug Williams vs AJ Styles - Both Taz & Angle were giving Styles some major props more than happy to put him over by bigging up his ability. Styles was on top but Williams derailed him catching Styles off a Springboard by hitting a European Uppercut. Styles went for a flying forearm but I agree with Taz's call that they may have bumped heads as Williams looked rather glazed, Styles took it to the arial arena hitting a dropkick then a suicide dive. Styles went for a weardown with a Torture Rack into a pin but Williams came back with a nice flying elbow,Styles hit a wicked clothesline that Williams sold really well indeed but Styles hit a springboard into an Inverted DDT (that was the move he'd flubbed in his previous match against Sabin) to take the win.
No Surrender World Title Qualifying Match, Hernandez vs Sting - Sting started this injured after his postmatch gore from Rhino so he was always struggling, Hernandez hit a few moves and Sting rolled out of the ring to the ground where it looked like Homicide came out and worked Sting over with a blackjack. The ref DQ'd Hernandez off outside interference with the win going to Sting but "Homicide" was revealed be Eric Young dressed in Homicides ring gear.
Coming back from the final commercial break Hernandez called out Young who brought The British Invasion with him but Hernandez soon made light work of them at least on Doug Williams & Brutus Magnus. Kiyoshi & Sheik Abdul Bashir ran out and were taken out but Big Rob jumped Hernandez from behind and The World Elite commenced the beatdown on Hernandez.
AJ Styles came down to help Hernandez but was soon taken down until Beer Money came out to help too and cleared house, The World Elite reformed at the bottom of the entrance ramp but then Team 3D came out from the tunnel and World Elite were surrounded and it all kicked off big time with everyone fighting and ignoring the refs, Bashir was about to be on the receiving end of a table until Scott Steiner & Booker T ran out to beat the ever holy crapola out of Team 3D.
Robert Roode came in and cut off Booker with James Storm starting to duke it out with Steiner until Brutus Magnus put a stop to that, Roode was on the wrong end of The Doomsday Device off Williams & Magnus with Storm taking a double Chokeslam off Booker & Steiner and the World Elite and the MEM were left standing tall at the end of the show.
