8 Man Tag Team Gauntlet Match, Beer Money vs Team 3D vs The British Invasion vs The MEM - This match had already started when the show opened with Booker T coming down to join the match & James Storm being the final participant to enter the match. Basically this was booked to sort out all the issues stemming from the postmatch beatdown that closed last weeks Impact. It seemed this was 2 teams versus 2 other teams and there was MAJOR confusion when Brutus Magnus took the win by pinning Scott Steiner so it appears it was every team versus every other team but I guess thats what you get when TNA drop you into a match that has already started and don't bother explaining the situation to you at all. Someone on the colour desk needs to get fired for that.
Kurt Angle comes out to waffle to Matt Morgan. Sting & AJ Styles come out to join in. Ref Earl Hebner refuses to change his call on last weeks match. Mick Foley backstage segment with Dr Stevie, were those his kids in the office?
1st Round Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, Daffney & Alissa Flash vs Sarita & Taylor Wilde - I had already predicted Wilde & Sarita HAVE to win this otherwise Alissa will be facing herself (as Raisha Saeed) which is impossible. I love the Flash persona as she is so strong arm in terms of her moves, Sarita seriously flubbed an armdrag on Daffney and the colour desk had to cover a major assist from Wilde who had to really shove Daffney hard to be in position for Sarita to hit the step off crossbody block.
Wilde was put into a nice abdominal stretch that Taz said is called the Daffknees & Wilde used a knee to the face to get out of it, Flash & Daffney caught Sarita trying a Crossbody Block but Sarita managed to hit a Tornado DDT on Daffney from it. Wilde came in and made the assist taking Daffney out but Sarita hit a nice Pumphandle Slam to take the predicted win in this match.
Backstage interview with The World Elite. Backstage interview with Suicide. The Motor City Machine Guns come out & unveil another colour desk where they sit down.
Jay Lethal vs D'Angelo Dinero - With the way TNA are pushing this new guy Lethal was always only ever going to job big time here. Quite frankly Lethal worked his ass off here and was on top for most of the match but once Dinero rolled the kneepads down this was only ever going 1 way exactly as predicted and Dinero took the win off what he calls the DDE (D'Angelo Dinero Express) which is that double knee backstab into a Schoolboy roll-up.
Backstage segment between World Elite & MEM. Something goes wrong with the sound & you can hardly hear audio on the next match & the rest of the show.
1st Round Match TNA Knockout Tagteam Title Tournament, The Beautiful People vs Madison Rayne & Roxxi - It was nice to see Roxxi come out as Raynes mystery partner as she left the company for all the wrong reasons and a large percentage of those reasons (aka Rhaka Khan) are no longer on tv anyway due to injury issues. Roxxi got a massive pop from the Impact Zone crowd who were obviously just as pleased as me to see her back, sadly from what I read online this was a 1 time only appearance as Roxxi is currently employed by AAA in Mexico. Roxxi had a kick-a** match here and really should have taken the win after nailing the Voodoo Drop on Love as the ref was so far out of position to make the count it was f**king unreal! Love took the eventual win off a Schoolboy roll-up & a handfull of Raynes shorts.
Backstage segment with Mick Foley & Cody Deaner. Foley comes out to join the colour announcers.
Special Grudge Match, Abyss vs Dr Stevie - Stevie jumped Abyss as he was being introduced so never got any introduction himself. Foley & Taz were putting Stevie over as a legit worker from his ECW days and Abyss took the pretty easy win off The Black Hole Slam. As Abyss was celebrating his win Kevin Nash jumped him but it took Mick Foley to make the save.
The World Elite waffle on the mic about Hernandez but Hector Guerrero comes out instead.
Mixed Martial Arts rules match, Tara vs Cody Deaner - Tara has expressed an interest in actually doing real MMA so this match was kind of a curiosity from that standpoint only. The Motor City Machine Guns called this match & they pointed out the duct tape on Tara (it was to cover the word Rizing on her t-shirt, shorts & cap as WWE are currently taking legal action against her calling herself that because HHH used to have a similar name). This was actually an ok match with Tara providing all the action & Deaner selling it until the rather s***ty ref bump off Deaners clothesline that Tara predictably ducked and it took the ref out. Tara was hitting Deaner with a volley of right hands until that F**KWIT Russo sent Awesome Kong down on a run-in to splash Tara from behind & nail the Implant Buster and the ref then "recovered" to award the win to Cody Deaner.
Replay of Taras defeat, backstage interview with Cody Deaner who thinks he won. Rundown of No Surrender PPV card, footage of Rhino "attacking" Bobby Lashley at his gym.
Tag Match, AJ Styles & Daniels (with Sting) vs Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe (with Matt Morgan) - Angle wasn't very happy about Morgan coming down but Morgan took a chair & sat back from the ring. Quite frankly this match was a complete turd until Styles hit Angle with the Pele, the match was always going one way from that point onwards with Styles & Daniels pretty much owning Angle (and Joe during his various attempts at interference & saves) but Morgan signalled Angle to use his chair and Angle went for it only for Styles to put the brakes on & send Angle into the chair head first allowing Styles to make the pin for his team.
Post match Angle reprimanded Morgan & slapped him but got The Carbon Footprint then the Hellavator off Morgan for his troubles. We then saw World Elite beating up Homicide & they brought him to the ring and called out Hernandez who took out ALL of World Elite to save Homicide only to get a chair across the back from Homicide and his heel turn is begun. Fans note, Homicide wore NO LAX gear to indicate this was the start of his heel turn.
