Movie Review - "Storm of the Century"

lets have a snow storm coming to an island. a lady killed for no reason. a man asking a question and then when asked over 5 times he refuses to say what he wants. the cane - unexplained. the mans origins - poorly explained. the lack of faith by the town priest - why? a town that has no police force? why this guy isn't shot after he's caught we'll never know. Only to allow a pointless storyline (Mr King, you are truly running out of ideas. This story is just Needful Things tweaked in small places) to happen and bore you. A town manager who thinks he owns the town and is above the law. He enters 2 crimes scenes with no prior police presence and no permission. Recklessly carries and points a loaded gun everywhere at anyone he pleases - Is it any wonder his son is such a little brat?

A lighthouse that is destroyed so easily? A very poorly built harbour, no harbour walls for sea protection like you'd expect? Generally this is a very poorly thought out story, many things thrown in and never used or explained well or at all. Why the wolfs head on the cane. Why kill any of the people at all, he could have got into the town hall in any way. Very bad, very slow. Too long, rubbish ending. Nothing much explained well. King fans would be advised to read the book which is bound to be much better as I find with most of his movie and televised works.
