Movie Review - Alone in the Dark

Christian Slater must have been strapped for cash to get involved in this pile of rubbish. I've played Alone In the dark (a long time ago, I can't remember much of it) but the bits I do remember aren't anything like the plot, story or setting of this film.

Basically you've got Carnby who disappeared as a child from an orphanage with all his other fellow orphans then came back again. (rubbish idea, eh?) Basically this film has stolen ideas from Aliens and done them incredibly badly. People who have symbiotic creatures inside them which make them super fast and super powerful, original idea there - NOT! The film ends with them discovering all the missing orphans were implants with symbiont's to try and open some doorway for some reason (the plot is WAY too complex to follow even with the explanatory trail at the start), and the ending is rubbish - making you think everyone on earth has been taken.
