Sadly I am not able to write the word bad, or the word awful or the word avoid 1000 times because I don't think IMDb.Com would accept that as a review. George Romero created the zombie genre and has destroyed it and his own credibility with this offering. Many times during the film I physically thought i'd fall asleep through boredom. My spine was congealing, as was my brain and I was in danger of becoming a zombie myself. This truly was a festival of boredom.
John L clearly has been struggling with good parts recently (what with being in the awful remake of Assault on Precinct 13), Dennis Hopper must be very badly in need of money as well. I suggest he and John L find new agents as they have not done their work, getting them these truly awful parts in this truly incredibly awful movie. Mr Romero created a good remake of Day Of The Dead and I loved it, it was even better than the extremely good original.
This film was bad, no real structure and adding no real new ideas to George's usual offerings. This was clearly done for the money and made as quickly as possible. I didn't notice Simon Pegg at all and the whole fighting in a cage thing reminded me of X-Men too much. Likewise the rolling armoured car reminded me of Resident Evil (1 and 2 films). Utter rubbish and George Romero needs to consider his retirement.
